Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs)

Our Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs) are highly skilled healthcare professionals who bring advanced knowledge and expertise to patient care. They work across a variety of clinical settings to provide safe, effective, and personalised care, often bridging traditional professional boundaries to meet your needs more efficiently.

ACPs can come from many backgrounds, including nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, paramedics, occupational therapy, dietetics, and podiatry, and all are trained to Master’s level or equivalent.

What They Do

ACPs can:

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of health conditions
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate your care
  • Provide leadership, education, and research-based expertise within the practice
  • Help improve patient pathways, ensuring timely access to the right care
  • Work across traditional professional roles to bring the right skills to the right patient at the right time

How It Works

  • ACPs are part of your primary care team and often see patients directly for assessment, treatment, and follow-up
  • They work alongside GPs and other clinicians, ensuring you get the right care efficiently
  • Their advanced training allows them to take on complex clinical responsibilities safely and effectively

Why This Matters to You
